We Guarantee:
Providing Bear Spray Education: Use the bear spray when you come in contact with a bear. Start spraying low towards the ground and raise your arms slowly while you continue to release the spray. Make sure the spray is on your person at all times and not in a backpack.
Protecting yourself and the wildlife: Reducing negative human and bear interactions.
Save Money: You do not need to buy a can of bear spray. Rent the spray from us. This way you do not have to buy a can that you will not use again, worry about the expiration date or have to leave it behind at the airport.
Reuse: We will reuse the cans once they are carefully inspected. This will decrease the amount of people buying cans and throwing them away right after their trip.
Safety: When renting from Hey Bear, we will make sure that the spray is ready for you. We will inspect, weigh and sanitize the cans before they are available to be rented again.
Quick & Easy Pick Up and Return: You can secure your rentals prior to your arrival to the Big Sky area, by renting online at heybear.com. Once your transaction is processed, you can pick up your rental at any time we are open from the Hey Bear storefront. When you are finished with the rental, drop it off at the Hey Bear store front and let us handle the rest.

Reserve Bear Spray
- 1) Review the important rental and safety information above.
- 2) Add Bear Spray to the Cart with the dates you intend to use. Don’t worry if you don’t know the exact days, you can modify when picking up.
- 3) Specify the location that you intend to pick up and drop off.
- 4) Enter your information, payment, agree to our rental terms, and check out.
- 5) A confirmation email will be sent to your email inbox.
On Day of Pick Up
Arrive at one of our locations during business hours. A rental clerk will answer any questions and give you an opportunity to practice with an inert/empty canister.
Returning
After you’re done, return the bear spray one of our drop off locations throughout the region. Note some locations offer drop off only during business hours.
