If you are going to any of the Grizzly Bear Recovery Areas to camp, hunt or hike you may be required to keep your food, garbage and livestock feed in special bear-resistant containers. Once you have chosen your destination, you can find and read these “Food Storage Regulations” by clicking on the links listed below.

Note: If a particular land management agency or unit (i.e. park, unit, ranger district, management unit, or other discrete unit) is not listed below, that agency or unit does not currently have a grizzly bear food storage regulation in effect or no information was located. If you plan to visit a location and do not see a regulation listed below, it is recommended that you contact the land management agency prior to your visit to confirm that no regulation exists for that area.
